Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer famous for his distinctive blend of gospel-soul jazz R&B as well as R&B. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway and the Democratic National Convention to the European scene of clubs and festivals. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. While she's based in Atlanta Her roots lie from Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop as a musician, playing instruments as well as singing in churches. In Atlanta she attended Spellman College where her musical learning began. She was a part of the local R&B Scene. First track to have her voice was Stalk You which was a song from Japan's house 12; since then it was remixed and now is an element of her set. She also has contributed her voice on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she was commissioned as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage musical Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy as well as Tony Awards-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out for the role of director of choral for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine gained national recognition for her four-day performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during the Obama's inauguration 2009.
